Meet the Inspiring Minds Team

The most important indicator of quality in an early learning centre is the teaching staff. The educators at Inspiring Minds are trained, registered Early Childhood Educators or apprenticing as Child Development Practitioners and on their way to obtaining a diploma in Early Childhood Education. All are educators are selected for their warmth and enjoyment of children as well as their knowledge of child development and their mastery of skills involved in the field of Early Childhood Education.

Director: Krista Schott, RECE

I’m Krista and am the director of Inspiring Minds. I have been in the Early Childhood field for more than 30 years and at Inspiring Minds since 2008. I am inspired by the joy and sense of wonder in children’s eyes as they go through their day. I believe that when one gives the best, one gets the best in return. I am truly honoured to be part of this dedicated and creative team!

Supervisor: Janet Lichty, BMath, RECE, Forest School Practitioner

I am Janet Lichty and have worked at Inspiring Minds since July 2008 and currently am the Supervisor. I work beside wonderful staff members who enjoy working together and sharing our knowledge and experiences. I love getting to know all the children and families in our community. It still amazes me how and what young children learn and how caring and inquisitive children can be!

Jessica Henderson, RECE

I have worked at Inspiring Minds since September 2014 and am currently on a parental leave and visit the Centre often. The best parts about Inspiring Minds are that I feel like a part of the team, that my co-workers care about my well-being and that we are like a family.

Amanda Rose, RECE

I have worked at Inspiring Minds since the summer of 2017. Prior to that I was fortunate to complete one of my field placements here. During my placement, I was able to begin making connections and build relationships. I currently work in Eager Beavers and have had the opportunity to work in the toddler, school age, kindergarten and summer camp programs. I love working at Inspiring Minds because of the children, families and my co-workers! They make work and learning fun for us all!
